Description
"Papillon"
Dickerson 41 CC
A solid and proven offshore cruising sailboat
“Papillon" was purchased as a home and a long-distance stable cruiser, and she has provided both. We have cruised her from Baltimore, through the Bahamas, and as far south as the Dominican Republic. She is loved and well cared for and currently docked in St. Augustine ready for her next adventure, north or south. It is our hope to find someone looking for what she is, a comfortable home and a fine vessel that will take you anywhere you want to go.”-current owners
"Papillon" is ketch rigged with a full isinglass enclosure, a Bahamas friendly 4.9 ft draft, and many recent upgrades. She was designed and built on the Chesapeake Bay and is considered by many to be the ultimate in cruising designs. Her full keel and her heavy displacement allow her to be comfortably taken offshore or cruised down the Intracoastal Waterway.
She was commissioned and built by the owner of Dickerson Yachts himself after he sailed to Jamaica on a sister ship. She was built to sail to Tahiti. That voyage was never realized, but she has served as a coastal and Island cruiser for the past 32 years, making over 20 passages to the Bahamas and back. Papillon is set up for an off-the-grid cruising lifestyle with her systems so balanced she can sit on anchor for months at a time. She is a solidly founded, serious yacht that will serve her new owner well for many years to come.

Saint Augustine FL 32084 USA
Office: 1-305-807-4096
Cell: 904-687-4022
Carolyn grew up living aboard her familyâs 47â GulfStar Sailmaster, cruising up and down the East Coast and through the Bahamas for nearly twenty years. Shew crewed on various boats, detailed boats, and worked at a prominent marina in St. Augustine, FL, while working her way through college. She worked her way up to management at the marina and was a loyal employee for over 15 years. Talking to the boaters of all types as they transited the ICW and stopped at the marina, was one of the highlights of her job, but they got to take off and head to places more tropical while she was stuck in St. Augustine.
Carolyn is a fine arts graduate from Flagler College, an artist, yogi, and an avid surfer and guitar player. She travels the world to various surfing destinations whenever she can and enjoys traveling solo.
After the marina, Carolyn worked for a local recruiting firm and then Solar Stik as an administrative assistant. She has also taught yoga at various venues around St. Augustine. She brings her organizational and logistical skills with her to Sunshine Cruising Yachts, and is very excited to be working on the water again. She lives with her husband and two boys as well as various animals (mainly cats and guinea pigs) in St. Augustine.
Be careful! Her enthusiasm is contagious!
, `testimonial` ="Carolyn is the boat broker to work with!
My wife and I used her to sell our 38ft sailboat and she was awesome to work with. We had the boat in Georgia while we lived in Idaho and she was located in Florida and she went out of her way to help when things needed to get done on the boat.
I would recommend her to absolutely anyone that is looking to sell or buy a boat. An absolute pleasure to work with "- Josh
